Delete your account
You can permanently delete your Dehay account and personal data at any time. Here is exactly what happens.
Request deletion by email
Send us a short email from the address linked to your Dehay account. We verify ownership before deleting anything.

- Your profile (name, email, date of birth, gender, country)
- Posts, comments and reactions you created
- Photos and videos you uploaded to Gallery and D-hay
- Family tree entries you created
- Chat messages you sent
- Calendar events and reminders you created
What may be kept
- Anonymised diagnostic logs used to keep the app stable
- Records we are legally required to keep (e.g. abuse reports, tax records)
- Content another family member also owns a copy of (e.g. a shared photo they saved)
Timeline
We confirm your request within 72 hours and complete deletion within 30 days, unless a longer period is required by law.
